During Mizzou's winter break, students travel to the Dominican Republic. Located in the Caribbean on the island of Hispaniola, this destination boasts beautiful beaches and scenery. Despite some positive revenue brought in by tourism, poverty still exists for a significant portion of the population. GMT aims to increase access to medical care and resources to improve the quality of life for many of the citizens of this country.
